Nanotechnology and Nanomedicine: A Promising Avenue for Lung Cancer Diagnosis and Therapy
نویسندگان
چکیده
Lung cancer is a leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide, with very poor overall five-year survival rate. The intrinsic limitations associated the conventional diagnosis and therapeutic strategies used for lung have motivated development nanotechnology nanomedicine approaches, in order to improve early rate develop more effective safer options cancer. Cancer nanomedicines aim individualize drug delivery, diagnosis, therapy by tailoring them each patient’s unique physiology pathological features—on both genomic proteomic levels—and attracted widespread attention this field. Despite successful application techniques research, clinical translation approaches remains challenging due limited understanding interactions that occur between biology, challenges posed toxicology, pharmacology, immunology, large-scale manufacturing nanoparticles. In review, we highlight progress opportunities use treatment discuss prospects field, together translation.

Nanotechnology and Pediatric Cancer: Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment
Despite development of new approaches for the treatment of cancer disease, it is the second cause of mortality in world. Annually, 30000 persons die in Iran due to cancer diseases. Eighty percent of cancer patients are children which about 50% children lead to death. Given the high rate of cancer-related death, the new approaches for prevention, control, early diagnosis, and treatment of this d...
متن کاملFucosylation Is a Promising Target for Cancer Diagnosis and Therapy
Oligosaccharides, sequences of carbohydrates conjugated to proteins and lipids, are arguably the most abundant and structurally diverse class of molecules. Fucosylation is one of the most important oligosaccharide modifications involved in cancer and inflammation. Recent advances in glycomics have identified several types of glyco-biomarkers containing fucosylation that are linked to certain ty...
متن کاملNanotechnology; its significance in cancer and photodynamic therapy
In the last decade, developments in nanotechnology have provided a new field in medicine called “Nanomedicine”. Nanomedicine has provided new tools for photodynamic therapy. Quantum dots (QDs) are approximately spherical nanoparticles that have attracted broad attention and have been used in nanomedicine applications. QDs have high molar extinction coefficients and photoluminescence quantum yie...
متن کاملpassivity in waiting for godot and endgame: a psychoanalytic reading
this study intends to investigate samuel beckett’s waiting for godot and endgame under the lacanian psychoanalysis. it begins by explaining the most important concepts of lacanian psychoanalysis. the beckettian characters are studied regarding their state of unconscious, and not the state of consciousness as is common in most beckett studies. according to lacan, language plays the sole role in ...
siRNA Nanomedicine for Cancer Therapy
A polyelectrolyte complex (PEC) micelle-based siRNA delivery system was developed for treatment of cancer. A PEGylated siRNA targeting human vascular endothelial growth factor (hVEGF) was synthesized. The hVEGF expression was almost completely inhibited in vitro as well as in vivo by treating prostate cancer cells with the PEC micelles formed from the interaction between the conjugate and polye...
